Desktop Support Engineer (Sydney)

About the role

Datacom is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to deliver end‑user services to its customers across Sydney. You will handle hardware and software break/fix, remote assistance, device deployment and relocation tasks, ensuring a smooth technology experience for users.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality technical support in a fast‑paced environment, prioritising customer satisfaction.
• Assist new users with hardware collection, setup and configuration.
• Prepare laptops, mobile phones and other equipment for deployment, keeping them up‑to‑date.
• Record all interactions in the designated ITSM tool and keep customers informed of progress.
• Deliver services in line with SLAs using established tools and processes.
• Proactively manage and maintain customer infrastructure as directed.
• Identify and drive service and process improvements.
• Follow ITIL best practices for change and release management.

Required profile

• Strong focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences for end‑users.
• Ability to prioritise work to meet service level agreements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, capable of translating technical information for non‑technical audiences.
• Self‑motivated with solid time‑management skills.
