Desktop Support Engineer – Onsite IT Support (Sydney)

About the role

The Desktop Support Engineer will deliver high‑quality technical assistance for all end‑user computing devices at our Sydney office. You will be the first point of contact for staff, ensuring incidents, problems and service requests are resolved quickly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site support for laptops, desktops, printers and mobile devices (iPhone, iPad, Android).
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues across Windows 7 and Windows 10 platforms.
• Manage incidents, service requests and IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities using ServiceNow.
• Deploy and upgrade operating systems and applications via SCCM, AutoPilot and imaging tools.
• Support VDI technologies such as Citrix XenDesktop and Azure Cloud PC.
• Maintain AV equipment for Microsoft Teams Rooms and conference‑room events.
• Handle endpoint security tools (McAfee, Cortex XDR) and user data services (OneDrive, Office 365).
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware replacement and ensure asset inventory is up‑to‑date.
• Collaborate with server and networking teams to resolve complex issues.

Required profile

• Basic experience in an IT support environment.
• Strong client‑management and communication abilities.
• Understanding of ITIL concepts and ServiceNow ticketing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Windows 7 & Windows 10 OS troubleshooting.
• ServiceNow ticketing tool.
• SCCM and AutoPilot imaging deployment.
• Citrix XenDesktop and Azure Cloud PC (VDI).
• Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) AV support.
