Desktop EUC Technician (Level 1)

About the role

We are looking for a Desktop EUC Technician (Level 1) to provide end‑to‑end support for desktop, laptop and tablet devices across the organisation. The role involves incident resolution, iMac handling, hardware and software maintenance, and on‑site assistance for VIP users.

Key responsibilities

• Manage desktop hardware, software and connectivity incidents through to resolution.
• Handle iMac and desktop support services, including hard‑ and soft‑break fixes.
• Provide standard hardware and software support for the full lifecycle of desktop devices, including remote management.
• Configure, patch and replace hardware components using vendor‑provided spares.
• Analyse service‑desk calls to identify training needs and automation opportunities.
• Ensure each device is installed with the correct desktop image.
• Monitor security profiles and anti‑virus compliance, taking corrective action as needed.
• Offer VIP desk‑side support and act as the primary IT contact when other support teams are unavailable.

Required profile

• Associate degree in electronics or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Knowledge of Windows 7, Active Directory and basic smart‑hands support.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem, Service Request) and spare‑stock management.
• Experience with service‑management tools such as ServiceNow.
• Good understanding of Lync, VPN and mobile device support is advantageous.
