Designer (6-month contract) – Creative Studio

About the role

Taronga Conservation Society Australia is seeking a skilled Designer to join its Design Studio on a six‑month full‑time contract, starting July 2026 at Taronga Zoo in Sydney. The role involves creating high‑quality visual solutions that support the organisation’s mission to strengthen the relationship between wildlife and people.

Key responsibilities

• Produce innovative design solutions across print, environmental and digital media.
• Maintain brand consistency by applying Taronga’s brand guidelines to all outputs.
• Manage projects from concept through production, scheduling delivery timelines and overseeing signage installations.
• Plan and prioritise workload to meet deadlines and strategic priorities.
• Liaise with Creative Production, Studio Manager, contractors and suppliers to ensure successful production and installation.

Required profile

• Self‑starter able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
• Strong understanding of graphic design and visual communication.
• Experience delivering end‑to‑end design solutions; environmental and digital media design experience is a plus.
