Design & Technology Teacher (Woodwork) - Secondary

About the role

St Joseph's College Albany, a co-educational Catholic school serving students from Kindergarten to Year 12 in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, is seeking a Design & Technology Teacher (Woodwork) for its Secondary team. The position is full-time and permanent, commencing in January 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Year 7-9 Woodwork.
• Support and uphold the Catholic ethos of the College.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the contemporary Design & Technology curriculum and teaching practices.
• Build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
• Create engaging, well-managed learning environments that promote student success and safety.
• Use effective assessment and feedback practices to support student learning.
• Contribute to a collaborative and professional staff culture.
• Integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning.
• Be willing to participate fully in the life of the College.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Education (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification).
• Current TRBWA registration.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Candidates must currently reside in Australia and hold full Australian work rights for the duration of 2027.
