About the role

Join a dynamic team as a Design & Technology Teacher in Cairns, Queensland. This full‑time permanent position starts in Term 3, 2026 and offers the chance to inspire students through hands‑on design, metalwork and woodwork projects.

Key responsibilities

• Create and deliver engaging Design & Technology curriculum that develops critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment where students can explore creativity.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to design project‑based learning experiences.
• Maintain workshop safety standards for metalwork and woodwork activities.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with the ability to teach Design & Technology subjects.
• Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) or eligibility for registration.
• Strong curriculum knowledge and effective classroom practice.
• Commitment to high‑quality teaching, child safety and student wellbeing.
• Collaborative mindset and appreciation for Catholic education values.
