Design Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a creative and highly organised Design Assistant to support the full product development cycle for our bags and soft accessories range. Working closely with the senior Designer, you will help turn seasonal concepts into production‑ready collections in a fast‑paced fashion environment.

Key responsibilities

• Create stylised and technical drawings using Adobe Illustrator.
• Set up and maintain seasonal tech packs and style files.
• Support product development activities such as proto sampling, lab dips and supplier follow‑ups.
• Maintain product data in Dynamics 365 in collaboration with design and admin teams.
• Prepare materials for range and buy meetings, including samples, mood boards and documentation.
• Track work‑in‑progress, sample logs and critical path updates.
• Coordinate seasonal samples for marketing, PR, campaigns and production.
• Assist with sample approvals, costing inputs and product comments alongside the Designer/Buyer.
• Identify best‑ and worst‑selling items through sales and trade reviews.
• Ensure samples are organised for shoots, presentations and trade meetings.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification or equivalent in Fashion Design, Product Design or a related field.
• 3+ years experience as a Design Assistant, Buying Assistant or in a similar role.
• Proven experience designing bags.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organisation and time‑management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑moving environment.
