Design and Technology Teacher (Permanent)

About the role

Coastal Lakes College is seeking an enthusiastic Design and Technology teacher to join its Year 7‑12 team from Term 3, 2026. The role involves delivering engaging, future‑focused learning experiences that inspire students to become problem‑solvers, designers and engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess Design and Technology and Engineering curriculum across secondary year levels.
• Develop and lead projects that promote critical thinking, creativity and real‑world problem solving.
• Support a diverse range of student abilities, providing differentiated instruction and feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate cross‑curricular initiatives and contribute to school improvement.
• Participate in extracurricular activities, such as clubs or competitions, related to technology and design.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching credential and registration with the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL).
• Demonstrated passion for innovative teaching practices and student engagement.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive, inclusive school community.
