Demand Planner – Specialist

About the role

The Demand Planner will own forecast development and performance, partnering with Merchandise, Supply Chain and Supplier teams to align demand plans with business strategy. Using data, insights and scenario modelling, you will identify risks and opportunities while continuously improving forecast accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts incorporating seasonality, new products, sales trends, trade activity and channel‑specific drivers.
• Lead the monthly S&OP process, presenting assumptions, risks and opportunities and aligning plans with key stakeholders.
• Monitor forecast accuracy, bias and service level KPIs, investigate variances and drive corrective actions.
• Analyse inventory implications of forecast changes and communicate impacts.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross‑functional teams to align forecasts and improve outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in high‑SKU, high‑volume retail environments.
• Strong analytical capability with confidence working with statistical forecasts and large datasets.
• Commercial awareness in a retail or consumer‑focused environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholder influence skills.

Required skills

• Forecasting systems such as Relex and Blue Yonder.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and Power Query.
