About the role

AECOM is seeking experienced professionals from the UK to join its Defence business in Australia, primarily in Adelaide. The role involves contributing to major defence, maritime and nuclear infrastructure programmes that support Australia’s long‑term strategic capability.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver complex, secure infrastructure across the defence estate, including maritime structures, nuclear systems and major building projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, industry partners and clients on high‑profile national security programmes.
• Provide technical expertise and mentorship within AECOM’s global defence and infrastructure network.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or professional qualification in the chosen engineering or architectural discipline.
• Proven experience delivering large‑scale, highly regulated infrastructure projects, preferably within defence or nuclear sectors.
• Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and meet stringent security clearance requirements.
