About the role

The Global Analytics team at DoorDash is seeking a Data Scientist to drive measurement, strategy, and tactical decision‑making across its worldwide logistics platform. You will translate complex data into actionable insights that influence product, finance, and executive decisions, helping shape the future of the marketplace.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with product, business, finance and executive teams to inform strategic decisions using quantitative analysis.
• Design, build and maintain full‑cycle analytics experiments, reports and dashboards with SQL, Python, R or similar tools.
• Identify levers that move key metrics, develop hypotheses, and validate findings through statistical testing and experimentation.
• Communicate insights on marketplace dynamics, user behavior and long‑term trends to cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and prioritize competing needs across strategy, operations, product, finance and engineering.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in data analytics, consulting or a related quantitative role.
• Proven ability to tackle ambiguous problems with a structured, hypothesis‑driven approach.
• Experience leading strategic projects involving multiple cross‑functional teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python or R.
• Advanced SQL querying and basic ETL processes.
• Experience with experimentation techniques such as A/B testing and causal inference.
• Knowledge of regression analysis and other statistical methods.
• Familiarity with analytics and visualization tools.
