Data & Reporting Analyst

About the role

Join a market‑leading retail and consumer organisation where data and reporting drive commercial decisions and growth opportunities. Based in Melbourne with a hybrid working model, you will own the management, maintenance and enhancement of core business reporting tools, focusing on Power BI and advanced Excel.

Key responsibilities

• Own monthly management, maintenance and troubleshooting of existing Power BI reporting tools, including refresh cycles and technical enhancements.
• Manage backend data inputs, perform detailed quality assurance on automated retailer data pipelines, and coordinate issue resolution with IT and the Analytics Centre of Excellence.
• Lead design, build and ongoing ownership of a new automated Power BI dashboard, handling weekly and monthly refresh processes.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual reporting consolidations for regional and global stakeholders, improving automation and reducing manual error.
• Deliver ad‑hoc performance reporting and analysis to identify retailer trends, commercial opportunities and growth areas.

Required profile

• At least three years of experience in a data analyst, reporting analyst, commercial analytics or business intelligence role, preferably within retail or consumer goods.
• Strong experience in performance reporting, automated data pipelines, data quality assurance and reporting consolidation.
• Proven ability to work with regional, global or senior business stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced Power BI capabilities, including data modelling and interactive dashboard development.
• Advanced Excel skills: Power Query, Power Pivot, VBA, macros, dynamic arrays, XLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH.
