Data Privacy Framework Manager

About the role

ANZ is seeking a Data Privacy Framework Manager to lead the development and continuous improvement of its enterprise privacy policies, standards and controls. The role will work across the Privacy Office and collaborate with global stakeholders to strengthen privacy governance and manage emerging privacy risks.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance enterprise privacy policies, standards, guidelines, control requirements and risk management frameworks.
• Support control testing, assurance activities and effectiveness reviews in partnership with Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit and other stakeholders.
• Identify privacy gaps, drive remediation activities and monitor emerging privacy risks.
• Apply structured business analysis techniques to define risks, assess mitigation options and recommend practical solutions.
• Deliver insights and reporting on privacy risks and control effectiveness.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance privacy capability and risk management.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in privacy risk and compliance within a highly regulated organisation.
• Recognised privacy or data protection certification (e.g., IAPP CIPM, CIPT).
• Proven experience designing, implementing and managing privacy policies, standards, guidelines and controls.
• Strong ability to navigate complex privacy issues and develop pragmatic solutions across privacy, technology and business domains.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• High attention to detail and a structured, delivery‑focused mindset.
