Data Engineer – Primary Health Insights Platform

About the role

WAPHA is looking for a Data Engineer to join the NPCAP team within the Digital & Data Portfolio. You will help build and improve data engineering processes for the Primary Health Insights platform, supporting PHNs across Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data integration and transformation pipelines.
• Create and optimise data models, cleaning logic and workflows for reporting and analytics.
• Extract, transform and load data from multiple sources to ensure high‑quality, reliable datasets.
• Collaborate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders to gather requirements and troubleshoot issues.
• Support ongoing improvement of data products and processes.

Required profile

• Experience working with data pipelines, ETL processes and data modelling.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business users.
• Adaptable, flexible and comfortable in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
