Data Engineer – Mining Technology (Brisbane)

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join a leading mining technology organisation in Brisbane. You will design and build scalable data solutions, work with modern cloud technologies and transform complex datasets into actionable business insights.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement new data models, metrics and analytics solutions.
• Develop, optimise and maintain scalable data pipelines.
• Support the design of cloud‑based data warehouses and analytics platforms.
• Gather and prepare data from multiple sources, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns and anomalies.
• Develop predictive models to improve equipment maintenance and operational efficiency.
• Create dashboards, visualisations and reports for technical and business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineers, mining specialists and technology partners to enhance equipment performance.
• Contribute to DevOps processes, deployment practices and environment setup.
• Support the development of automated decision‑support tools.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in a Data Engineering role.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience building high‑performance data pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of Snowflake and cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Hands‑on experience with data modelling, ETL/ELT processes.
• Programming experience in Python, Java, Scala or R.
• Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to business stakeholders.

What we offer

• Competitive salary up to $155,000 per year plus superannuation (total package approx $173,600).
