Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

Centorrino Technologies is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to protect its information systems and data across project environments in Australia. You will embed security throughout the project lifecycle and work closely with IT and stakeholders to mitigate threats.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement security policies and procedures aligned with PSPF, ISM and industry standards.
• Monitor, assess and manage vulnerabilities, configure firewalls, IDS and anti‑malware tools.
• Create and maintain documentation for security protocols, incident response plans and compliance guidelines.
• Lead incident response activities, including containment, eradication and recovery.
• Conduct cyber risk assessments and continuously improve security services with new tools and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• Active NV1 Security Clearance.
• Experience in a client‑facing, managed services or project‑based environment.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Linux and Windows Server administration.
• Virtualisation technologies such as VMware and Hyper‑V.
• Scripting with PowerShell and Bash.
• Knowledge of Azure networking and security frameworks (Essential Eight, ISO 27001, NIST).
• Hands‑on experience with Aruba, FortiNet and Juniper hardware.
