Cyber & Secure Networks Engineer – MQ-28 Program

About the role
Boeing Defence Australia is expanding its Cyber and Secure Networks team for the MQ-28 Ghost Bat programme in Brisbane. The positions span from hands‑on IT system administration to senior and principal cybersecurity engineering, supporting a cutting‑edge, AI‑enabled uncrewed combat aircraft.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement and sustain high‑assurance, multi‑domain networks for the aircraft.
- Lead product cybersecurity across the full systems development lifecycle.
- Administer IT systems and ensure secure configuration of hardware and software.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to shape secure solutions.
- Apply mission‑focused security engineering techniques to validate trustworthiness of architectures.
Required profile
- Australian citizenship (required).
- Ability to obtain or hold a security clearance (NV1/NV2) – highly desirable.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as CISSP, CRISC or CISM.
- Experience in defence‑accredited environments and familiarity with ISM, PSPF, DSPF and NIST frameworks.
