Customer Service Officer – Tourist Mine (Part‑time)

About the role

Join Northern Star’s tourist operation at Hannan’s North Mine in Kalgoorlie, delivering a memorable experience for visitors and tour groups. This part‑time, residential position works within a small team to ensure safety, presentation, and smooth front‑of‑house operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide friendly, high‑quality customer service to individual visitors and tour groups.
• Maintain the safety and visual standards of the tourist mine facility each day.
• Support the Tourist Mine Co‑ordinator with administrative duties.
• Handle point‑of‑sale transactions and manage the shopfront inventory.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a customer‑facing role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work on a rotating 8‑day or 7‑day roster (days only).
• Eligibility to meet pre‑employment checks (medical, drug/alcohol, right‑to‑work, police clearance).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Familiarity with procurement or inventory management systems.
