Customer Service Officer - Plasterboard

About the role

DPO is looking for an experienced full-time Customer Service Officer for its Palmerston, Northern Territory team in the plasterboard industry. The role suits someone who is approachable, takes pride in excellent service and works well as part of a team. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Key responsibilities

• Provide prompt, high-quality customer service by answering inquiries and requests.
• Handle customer orders, including processing, tracking and ensuring on-time delivery.
• Work with the sales team to give accurate product information and pricing.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and resolve complaints quickly.
• Keep up to date with product knowledge and industry trends.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
• Monitor stock levels and liaise with the warehouse team on inventory.
• Help achieve sales targets and revenue goals.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a customer service role.
• Desirable but not essential: experience and knowledge of building products.
• Proactive, customer-oriented approach with high attention to detail.
• Able to keep confidential and sensitive information secure.

Required skills

• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
