Customer Service Manager (Duty Manager)

About the role

Wests Illawarra and Port Kembla Golf Club are seeking a full‑time or part‑time Customer Service Manager (Duty Manager) to lead the venue during shifts. The role blends operational oversight with team development, ensuring an exceptional guest experience while supporting the club’s community‑focused culture.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the venue while on shift, overseeing all front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house activities.
• Motivate, coach, and develop staff, fostering a high‑performance team environment.
• Maintain and exceed service standards to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
• Drive business‑focused outcomes, including revenue targets and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with club policies, health and safety regulations, and relevant licensing requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in the hospitality industry, at any level.
• Demonstrated ability to connect with people and a passion for leadership development.
• Alignment with the club’s values: Community, Integrity, Vibrancy, Innovation, Sustainability.
• Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Desirable: RSA, RCG and ARCG certifications.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of club operations and compliance requirements.
