Customer Relationship Manager - Technical Sales

About the role

Motion Industrial Solutions is expanding its Swan Hill team and is seeking a Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) to grow customer relationships and new business across north-western Victoria. This is a technical sales role focused on heavy manufacturing, petrochemical, agriculture and power generation markets, ideally based in Swan Hill. The role involves regular customer visits and travel, including possible overnight stays of one to two days per month.

Key responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with Engineering Managers, Reliability Engineers and Procurement Specialists.
• Develop and deliver account plans supporting customer retention and growth.
• Increase share of wallet through cross-selling and up-selling across Motion's product and service offering.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities across western Victoria.
• Deliver technical solutions to address customers' operational requirements.
• Achieve territory sales and budget targets.
• Work closely with the Manager Customer Relationships, branch managers and internal teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in account management, business development or technical sales.
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel.
• Experience selling into heavy manufacturing, petrochemical, agriculture or power generation industries is highly advantageous.
• Must be an Australian citizen or hold an Australian permanent residency visa.

Required skills

• Strong mathematical aptitude and technical interest or capability.
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
• Experience with bearings and/or power transmission products is highly advantageous.
• Strong communication skills, customer focus and commercial acumen.
