Customer Relations Team Member (Veterinary Receptionist)

About the role

A veterinary clinic in Para Vista is looking for a Customer Relations Team Member (veterinary receptionist) to work alongside its existing Receptionist. The role is permanent and part-time, around 30 hours per week, and suits someone who enjoys building relationships and delivering excellent customer service. The clinic has more than 60 years of combined veterinary experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients warmly and professionally
• Manage appointment bookings and scheduling
• Answer phone calls and respond to enquiries
• Support clients through admissions and discharges
• Handle client communication by phone and email
• Process payments and keep accurate records
• Support veterinarians and nurses with administrative tasks
• Assist with patient triage and direct enquiries appropriately
• Give general advice on preventative healthcare, nutrition and parasite control
• Maintain efficient daily clinic operations and build strong client relationships

Required profile

• Previous veterinary industry experience
• Ideally a former Practice Manager, Head Veterinary Nurse, experienced Veterinary Nurse or senior client services professional; others from dental, medical, specialist healthcare or allied health fields are also welcome
• Passion for customer service and relationship building with clients and pets
• Confident communicator, organised and detail-oriented
• Calm, professional and compassionate in a busy environment
• Reliable, dependable and a good team player

Schedule

• Monday to Thursday 12:00pm - 7:00pm
• Friday 8:00am - 2:00pm
• Saturday 9:00am - 12:00pm or 1:00pm; ideally every Saturday, but a minimum of one per month is acceptable
