Customer Product Support Advisor - Pilbara Mine Site

About the role

Komatsu Australia is recruiting a Product Support Advisor to support its Rio Tinto contract at a mine site in the Pilbara. You will manage the fleet health of all Komatsu equipment by giving on-the-job technical assistance to maintenance personnel on fault finding, including major component change-outs, maintenance practices and operating practices. You will also help staff resolve parts sourcing and technical information sourcing issues. The roster is 8:6 FIFO from Perth, day shift only, and candidates must live in Perth.

Key responsibilities

• Understand the daily downtime of the machine fleet at site
• Take part in repairs on local dealer machinery
• Help administer warranties
• Understand and forecast scheduled downtime
• Provide weekly site updates and feedback on service personnel
• Contribute to machine optimisation and machine systems monitoring

Required profile

• Trade or engineering qualification or background
• Sound knowledge and experience of Komatsu loaders
• Experience working on mine sites in the WA mining industry
• Ability to work remotely at the customer site
• Strong commitment to OHS
