Crew Member – Fast Casual Mexican Restaurant

About the role

Join a vibrant Mexican fast‑casual restaurant as a Crew Member, delivering friendly service and high‑quality food to guests. You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager and fellow team members to create a memorable dining experience in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, take orders and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Prepare menu items according to GYG’s recipes and quality standards.
• Operate the Point‑of‑Sale (POS) and EFTPOS machines accurately.
• Handle cash and loyalty card transactions while maintaining a clear understanding of Australian currency.
• Keep the work station clean, tidy and well‑organized throughout the shift.
• Support teammates by multitasking and maintaining a smooth flow during busy periods.

Required profile

• Advanced English communication skills (if non‑native).
• Outgoing, approachable personality with patience for customer interaction.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Self‑motivated, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Team‑player mindset with good communication abilities.

Required skills

• RSA certificate.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to operate POS systems and EFTPOS machines.
• Understanding of Australian currency, payment methods and loyalty cards.
