Cremator Operator & Groundskeeper

About the role

Heritage Park Crematorium and Memorial Gardens in Goodna, QLD is looking for a compassionate Cremator Operator who will also support groundskeeping duties. This casual position ensures dignified funeral services while maintaining a peaceful environment for families.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, clean and maintain cremation equipment safely and professionally.
• Carry out cremation procedures with respect, accuracy and compliance with legislation.
• Record all cremations, verify identification and liaise with administration staff.
• Perform regular equipment inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Process and place cremated remains in appropriate containers and assist with memorial placements.
• Undertake general groundskeeping tasks to keep the site tidy and welcoming.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Cremator Operator or in a similar funeral services role is highly regarded.
• Physically capable of handling a variety of tasks across the facility.
• Ability to work independently with strong time‑management.
• Attention to detail, reliable and flexible with work hours.
• Professional, discreet and compassionate demeanor.
