Creative Strategist

About the role

MECCA is looking for a Creative Strategist to join its Creative Direction team and help shape the thinking behind the brand's biggest creative ideas. Reporting to the Head of Creative Strategy, the role works closely with Creative Direction, Marketing and wider business teams to turn customer insights and cultural understanding into brand campaigns, cultural moments and long-term brand direction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cultural and creative research, translating customer insights and business objectives into creative strategies
• Shape big ideas, brand campaigns and creative projects from their earliest stages with creative leaders
• Develop narrative frameworks and hero messaging that bring the brand stories to life
• Connect brand, category and business strategies so creative ideas are purposeful and distinctive
• Bring strategic direction to complex creative challenges and help define the brand identity and long-term creative vision

Required profile

• Experience in brand strategy, creative strategy or copywriting within an agency or brand environment
• Experience developing creative briefs, brand identity frameworks or long-term brand platforms
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking, able to turn complex insights into clear creative direction
• Talent for storytelling and crafting compelling narratives and messaging
• Collaborative and curious, able to build strong relationships with creatives, designers and storytellers
