Cost Manager – Data Centre/Defence/Education

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Cost Manager to support data centre, defence and education projects. You will be responsible for developing cost plans, pricing items, and managing tender and contractor assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Measure all elements for preparation of cost plans and price individual items using first principles and market engagement.
• Prepare cost reports, assess tender returns, and produce tender recommendation reports.
• Evaluate contractor variations and payment claims, and recommend payments to the Superintendent.
• Compile benchmarking and market intelligence data and utilise the Hive digital platform for deliverables.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years post‑graduate experience.
• AIQS of RICS member or on the pathway to membership.
• Experience across the project life‑cycle, including pre‑contract, procurement and post‑contract activities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CostX (preferred).
• Strong cost planning, pricing and measurement capabilities.
• Ability to assess tender returns, contractor variations and payment claims.
• Experience using digital tools such as the Hive platform for cost management.
