Cost Controller – Kwinana Plant

About the role

TLEA is seeking a Cost Controller to join the team at its Kwinana refinery. You will provide proactive cost and change management support across a portfolio of brownfield projects, ensuring they are delivered within budget and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project budgets, cost forecasts, and cash‑flow estimates.
• Manage change orders, contingency, and cost‑risk registers.
• Assess third‑party claims and recommend payments.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, procurement and construction teams to translate scope changes into cost impacts.
• Monitor actual expenditures against approved budgets and produce regular cost reports.
• Identify cost‑overrun risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Ensure compliance with project control procedures and continuously improve cost‑control processes.

Required profile

• Demonstrated commitment to safety and well‑being of personnel.
• Experience working in brownfield operational environments, preferably within the lithium or broader energy sector.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work with multidisciplinary project teams.
