Cost Controller – Brownfield Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Cost Controller to join our team at the Kwinana lithium hydroxide plant. The role will support the execution of brownfield projects from initiation through commissioning, ensuring costs stay within budget and deliver value for the world‑leading lithium product.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cost control aligned with the owner’s execution strategy and industry standards.
• Support Project Managers and the Project Control Lead in planning, budgeting, and executing a portfolio of brownfield projects.
• Develop and manage budgets, change orders, contingencies, cost‑risk registers, and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Produce cost analysis, Estimate at Completion (EAC) updates, and regular reporting (monthly and ad‑hoc).
• Assess third‑party claims and recommend payments.
• Collaborate with project engineers, construction engineers, procurement, and discipline engineers to translate scope changes into cost forecasts.
• Monitor project expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
• Promote a strong safety culture and personal commitment to the well‑being of the team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cost control for brownfield operational environments.
• Ability to work closely with project teams, procurement, and engineering to manage cost changes.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, honesty, tenacity, pragmatism, and innovation.
