Corporate & Commercial Lawyer – Remote (Offshore)

About the role

Join Aspect Legal’s Corporate and Commercial team as a remote offshore lawyer. You will work alongside Australian and Sri Lankan colleagues, handling commercial matters for SME clients and gradually moving into mid‑market M&A projects.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and advise on a wide range of commercial agreements, including shareholder, joint‑venture, supply, distribution, IT and services contracts.
• Produce high‑volume, high‑quality legal documents with minimal supervision.
• Contribute to the development of firm‑wide templates and precedents.
• Mentor junior lawyers and support team knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in commercial law, M&A or a related field at the associate level.
• Proven track record of high‑volume drafting and negotiation of commercial documents.
• LLB or equivalent qualification and admission to practice in your jurisdiction.
• Strong self‑management, client‑service focus and ability to work across time zones.

Required skills

• Advanced legal drafting and analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
