Cook – Childcare Centre

About the role

G8 Education is looking for an experienced Cook to join the team at First Grammar Freshwater, which produces high-quality, nutritious meals and snacks for up to 117 children each day. This is a part-time temporary role of 30 hours per week on a contract ending 15 January 2027.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an ACECQA-approved Early Childhood qualification, with experience in a cook role
• Current Working with Children's Check (Blue Card / DCSI clearance) and First Aid
• Willingness to complete the Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
• Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Available for set shift days and times, Monday to Friday

Required skills

• Menu planning, budgeting, stock ordering and control
• Dietary and allergy-safe food preparation
• Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen in line with Food Safety regulations
