Contracts & Purchasing Officer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Contracts & Purchasing Officer to join the Supply Chain team at our Duketon gold operation. Reporting to the Supply Chain Superintendent, you will manage procurement, expediting and logistics of parts, equipment and consumables to ensure safe and efficient production. This is a FIFO position (8 days on, 6 days off) based in Laverton with a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement activities to secure timely, cost‑effective supply of materials and services.
• Coordinate purchasing, expediting and logistics to meet operational requirements.
• Maintain inventory and purchasing data in the Pronto ERP system and support system improvements.
• Ensure all orders comply with specifications and business requirements and monitor stock levels to avoid excess.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, review invoices for accuracy and resolve supply issues.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and source competitive suppliers.
• Manage freight and shipping logistics for efficient site delivery.
• Assist with asset management for receipt and tracking of plant and equipment.

Required profile

• Relevant qualifications in supply management, procurement or logistics.
• Experience in procurement and logistics within a mining or resources environment.
• Strong analytical and organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Pronto ERP system.
