Contracts and Compliance Officer

About the role

The City of Moreton Bay is seeking a Contracts and Compliance Officer to join its Corporate Security team. This permanent, full‑time position is based at the Narangba Depot and offers a hybrid working model with some work‑from‑home days.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of security services contracts, including guarding, patrols, alarm monitoring, access control and SOC/response functions.
• Develop and maintain SLA and KPI frameworks, and coordinate supplier performance reviews.
• Partner with Strategic Procurement and the Corporate Security Coordinator to ensure compliance with council policy, legislation and the Corporate Security Framework.
• Administer contract formation, insurance, licences, securities, retentions, variations, extensions and close‑out documentation.
• Prepare negotiation records, evaluation reports, conflict‑of‑interest and probity documentation in line with procurement policy.
• Identify and escalate emerging supplier, commercial and operational risks.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of contract and tender management processes (RFx planning, evaluation, negotiation support, award/decline).
• Experience in procurement, contract administration or compliance, preferably within a government environment.
• High attention to detail, disciplined record‑keeping and ability to meet competing deadlines.
• Current C‑class driver’s licence.
