Contract Pharmacist - Slade Pharmacy Northside

About the role

Icon Group is recruiting a pharmacist for a 6-month full-time contract at Slade Pharmacy Northside, located in St. Vincent's Private Hospital Northside. The role suits experienced community pharmacists wanting to expand their clinical practice in a hospital setting, and pharmacists with previous hospital experience looking for a short-term opportunity in a supportive, collaborative team. Onboarding, training and support are provided.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation
• Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products
• Coordinate patient medication needs for inpatients, day infusions and discharge
• Maintain professional relationships with stakeholders to deliver excellent service to patients and clients
• Support patients, carers, hospital staff and other employees
• Educate and advise staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and the quality use of medicines

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with General Pharmacist registration with AHPRA, with no restrictions on practice
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a registered pharmacist
• Permanent Australian working rights
• Ability to commit to full-time work, including occasional weekend work when required
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience is highly desirable but not essential
