Content Manager

About the role

The Content Manager leads the Core Content editorial team, ensuring the legal loose‑leaf, newsletter and reference portfolio remains accurate, up‑to‑date and aligned with editorial standards. This senior position also oversees budget performance and drives the responsible adoption of Generative AI tools to improve workflow efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of editors, fostering an inclusive culture and aligning objectives with commercial goals.
• Guide the team through change, maintaining engagement and adapting roles as needed.
• Conduct performance management, coaching, mentoring, and formal evaluations; recruit and train new staff.
• Build cross‑functional relationships to share best practices, including GenAI experiments, prompts and workflow redesigns.
• Mentor emerging leaders and develop management capabilities within the department.
• Allocate workload and portfolio responsibilities across the team.
• Ensure editors stay informed on legislative reforms, case law and industry trends to keep products relevant.
• Drive content improvements that enhance customer value and portfolio quality.
• Implement best‑practice editorial processes and coordinate with external vendors for efficient content updates.
• Manage portfolio costs, maintain budgets and report on financial performance and forecasts.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading editorial or content teams in a legal or publishing environment.
• Strong track record of managing budgets and delivering performance metrics.
• Ability to navigate change, inspire collaboration and develop talent.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to high‑quality, trusted content.
