About the role
The Regional Health Service across Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia is seeking full‑time Consultant General Physicians. This position offers a broad scope of practice, allowing you to manage acute and chronic medical conditions while working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a diverse patient load, including acute presentations, high‑acuity medical conditions and long‑term chronic disease management.
- Lead clinical management plans independently and shape departmental care pathways.
- Collaborate closely with Emergency, Critical Care and other specialist teams to ensure seamless patient pathways.
Required profile
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in General and Acute Care Medicine or equivalent.
- Current specialist registration with AHPRA, or full eligibility to obtain specialist registration.
- Proven ability to manage a wide range of acute medical and surgical presentations.
- International Medical Graduates assessed as partially or substantially comparable are encouraged to apply.
