Consultant Anaesthetist – Regional Victoria

About the role

Connecting the Docs is partnering with several leading health services across Victoria's Loddon Mallee region to recruit Consultant Anaesthetists. The role offers a broad scope of anaesthesia practice in multiple hospitals, supportive multidisciplinary teams and strong clinical leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality peri‑operative and anaesthetic care for both emergency and elective surgical services.
• Support and mentor junior medical staff, contribute to quality improvement, clinical governance and education initiatives.

Required profile

• FANZCA qualified specialist or specialist anaesthetist eligible for AHPRA Specialist Registration.
• Overseas‑trained anaesthetists on the ANZCA Specialist Pathway, or those assessed as Substantially/Partially Comparable.

Required skills

• Expertise in delivering peri‑operative anaesthetic care across a range of surgical specialties.
• Ability to participate in emergency and elective procedures and to mentor junior clinicians.
