Construction Supervisor – Water & Wastewater Projects

About the role

Lead mechanical construction activities on water and wastewater projects, coordinating crews, subcontractors and resources to deliver high‑quality works on time. You will own the two‑week look‑ahead, resolve design and constructability issues, and ensure safe, compliant site operations.

Key responsibilities

• Run mechanical construction works across water and wastewater sites, overseeing day‑to‑day delivery.
• Lead crews and subcontractors, ensuring labour, plant, equipment and materials are ready for each work front.
• Own the two‑week look‑ahead, identify potential delays early and implement mitigation.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers to resolve design and constructability challenges.
• Conduct field quality inspections, support ITPs, ITRs and commissioning activities.
• Maintain accurate site records, diaries, photos and reports.
• Lead pre‑start meetings and enforce SWMS, risk controls and safe work practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in water and wastewater construction.
• Mechanical Fitter trade qualification (highly regarded).
• Strong background in planning, setting up and executing construction works.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and site‑based crews.
• Experience with construction programming, quality control and design issue resolution.
• Frontline Management qualification or equivalent.
