Construction, Safety & Compliance Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Construction, Safety & Compliance Supervisor to lead safety initiatives across our building sites. The successful candidate will champion WHS standards, ensure regulatory compliance, and support site supervisors with technical expertise in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct proactive site inspections and enforce safe work practices.
• Manage WHS compliance, SWMS/JSA adherence, PPE usage, and site controls.
• Verify contractor licences, insurances and onboarding documentation.
• Maintain compliance systems, audit registers and reporting registers.
• Support supervisors with construction queries, sequencing and plan interpretation.
• Provide advice on building codes, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify defects and non‑compliant work, driving corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents and implement preventative strategies.
• Deliver toolbox talks and compliance training.
• Report trends, risks and performance insights to management.

Required profile

• White Card.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent).
• Trade or construction qualification.
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation and construction compliance.
• Experience in site supervision, safety or construction leadership.
