Construction Manager – Mineral Processing Projects

About the role

GR Engineering Services Limited (GRES), a process engineering consulting and contracting company serving the mining and mineral processing industries, is looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary construction team on major projects across Australia. The role suits someone with a proven record delivering large, complex construction projects, preferably EPC-style, and involves a 2x1 or 3x1 FIFO roster depending on project location.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce strict safety protocols, provide proper training and support, and meet HSE standards
• Cultivate a positive work culture for a team of supervisors and engineers
• Maintain strong client relationships and communicate effectively with client representatives
• Manage budget, schedule and overall project delivery
• Oversee all construction operations from commencement to commissioning and handover
• Review site plans to align with project objectives
• Identify and mitigate project risks
• Ensure compliance with GRES/client policies, industry standards and safe work procedures

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years' experience in construction or project management roles
• Professional engineering or trades background
• Experience managing onsite construction contractors on large Tier 1 contracts
• Design or construction management experience in mineral resources or materials handling
• Knowledge of current safety legislation and standards in construction and mining
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
• Valid National Police clearance (no older than 6 months)
• Ability to pass a full medical and DAS; S26 (WA) or G189 (QLD) licence, current first aid and white card
• Full and unrestricted Australian working rights and residence in Australia
