Condition Monitoring Specialist

About the role

CBH, a leading Australian grain co-operative, is hiring a Condition Monitoring Specialist for its Kwinana Grain Terminal. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will apply your technical expertise across fixed plant equipment to lead predictive maintenance, identify emerging faults and recommend planned interventions so that unplanned downtime is minimised. The role combines hands-on problem solving with technical analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Lead predictive maintenance analysis, using condition monitoring data to spot emerging faults and recommend planned interventions before breakdowns.
• Ensure condition monitoring activities meet CBH's safety and environmental standards, including isolation, tag-out and JSA requirements.
• Develop and optimise condition-based maintenance strategies in S/4HANA.
• Monitor asset health through online SCADA condition monitoring systems, analysing vibration, temperature and other parameters to detect deterioration early and set alarm limits.
• Support shutdowns, major maintenance upgrades and improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and costs.
• Provide field leadership by coaching and mentoring on-site personnel to comply with CBH safety requirements.

Required profile

• Engineering qualification specialising in condition monitoring (Ultrasonics and Thermography).
• Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas qualification and training (desirable).
• Valid Australian HR and C class driver's licence.
• Strong planning and communication skills, able to work in an operational environment.
• Experience in grain handling and SAP is highly regarded.
