Concrete Batch Operator - Relocation

About the role

Flanco, a civil construction company serving the mining and resources sector, is looking for an experienced Concrete Batch Plant Operator to run batch plant operations and ensure timely delivery of concrete. The position is based in Kalgoorlie, with relocation support provided and sponsorship available for the right candidate. Projects typically last 3-6 months, with crews moving between sites such as mills, crushers, concrete thickeners, conveyor footings, stockyards, tunnels, power stations and paste plants.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain batch plant operations so that concrete is delivered on time.
• Make all types of concrete products.
• Be willing to leave the cab and help the crew on site with formwork and concrete.

Required profile

• Experience as a batch plant operator with fixed or mobile concrete batching.
• White Card (construction) and National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain one).
• Australian work rights.
• Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test, and ongoing testing during employment.
• Ability to work independently and a willingness to help other concreters, steel fixers and operators.

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of concrete, including class, slump, cement types and water/cement ratios.
• Ability to carry out concrete cylinder tests (preferred but not essential).
• Excavator ticket and other operating tickets highly advantageous.
• Current HR licence, front-end loader operation and experience driving an agitator truck.
