Community Nursing Registered Nurse

About the role

Glen Innes Health Service is recruiting a Community Registered Nurse to provide person-centred nursing care to patients with a range of clinical needs, both within the health service and in their homes. The role supports patients to manage their health, maintain their independence and receive quality care in their own communities, with a Monday-to-Friday schedule. Permanent full-time and part-time positions are considered, with up to 38 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Wound management: assess, treat and monitor wounds
• Catheter care: perform catheter changes and provide ongoing clinical support
• Palliative care: deliver compassionate care and support patients and families
• Medication management: administer, monitor and educate patients safely
• Community-based care and care coordination with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Qualifications or extensive experience in wound management (essential)
• Previous community nursing experience desirable but not essential
• Australian citizenship, Australian permanent residency or a New Zealand passport; no visa sponsorship available
