Community Engagement Officer – S.WE.E.P. Program

About the role

3Bridges is seeking a Community Engagement Officer to join its S.WE.E.P. program, working within a high school environment. The role focuses on strengthening connections between families, the school, and the wider community, fostering inclusion and a sense of belonging.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with families, students, and school staff.
• Support family engagement and remove barriers to participation in school life.
• Connect families with relevant community services and supports.
• Plan and deliver community events and engagement initiatives.
• Promote inclusion and culturally responsive practices.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant requirements.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification (Certificate IV or higher preferred).
• Experience working with young people, families, or community services.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Experience engaging diverse communities.
• Understanding of trauma‑informed practice.
• Arabic language skills are highly regarded.
• Ability to obtain a National Police Check (facilitated by 3Bridges).
• Valid NSW Working With Children Check.
