Communications and Media Officer

About the role

The Tax Practitioners Board is looking for an experienced Communications and Media Officer to join its Corporate Services Communications team. You will help shape and deliver strategic communication initiatives that support the Board’s objectives and public awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop and deliver strategic communication activities across multiple channels.
• Create high‑quality written and digital content for internal and external audiences.
• Provide communications advice to business areas and support change‑management campaigns.
• Manage assigned communication tasks end‑to‑end, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners in a fast‑paced public‑sector environment.

Required profile

• Significant experience in communications, media, or public‑sector communication roles.
• Strong judgment, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated ability to produce engaging written and digital content.
• Commitment to diversity, inclusion and public‑service values.

Required skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in digital content creation tools (e.g., content management systems, social media platforms).
• Ability to develop and execute communication strategies.
