Commercial Manager

About the role

Schnitz is seeking a commercially‑minded finance professional to drive growth across its expanding restaurant network. Reporting to senior leadership, you will provide insight, build models and support investment decisions that shape the future of the brand.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts and monthly financial reporting for the Senior Leadership Team.
• Develop financial models and analyses to evaluate capital investments, new store opportunities and growth initiatives.
• Assess financial performance, risks and ROI of major projects and strategic investments.
• Partner with Operations, Property, Franchising, Marketing and other functions to identify profitability improvements.
• Provide financial oversight on key projects and represent Finance in project meetings.
• Analyse franchise and company store performance to spot trends and opportunities.
• Prepare Board reports, executive presentations and dashboards that communicate performance insights.
• Lead, mentor and develop the Finance team, driving continuous improvement of financial processes.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years experience in senior corporate finance, FP&A or commercial analysis (retail, franchise or multi‑site hospitality preferred).
• CA or CPA qualification required; MBA highly regarded.
• Proven experience leading budgeting and forecasting cycles and delivering Board‑level reporting.
• Strong commercial business partner able to challenge assumptions and influence decisions.
