Commercial HVAC Project Manager

About the role

Crest is seeking a dynamic Commercial HVAC Project Manager to lead and manage complex HVAC projects, ensuring successful delivery and exceeding client expectations. The role is full-time and will ultimately be permanently based in Newcastle, NSW, after a first major project rollout in Taree, NSW.

Key responsibilities

• Detailed project programming and control, managing project progress and performance
• Variation and contract negotiations
• Managing project finances, budgets and forecasts
• Design management
• Risk identification, mitigation and implementation of risk management strategies
• Building long-term positive client relationships
• Managing onsite subcontractors, trades and labour requirements, and defect rectification
• Mentoring and coaching junior project managers and site teams
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant WHS requirements

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of project management experience in the HVAC industry in Australia
• Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, or a degree in Construction Management or equivalent
• Australian citizen or permanent resident with unlimited working rights in Australia; no overseas applications

Required skills

• Knowledge of Australian Standards relevant to the HVAC industry
• HVAC project management skills, handling competing priorities with strong organisation and planning
• Leadership, teamwork and collaboration
• Ability to analyse complex information and manage multiple projects simultaneously
