Commercial Development Manager – 24‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Development Manager on a 24‑month fixed‑term contract to help shape Sydney Airport’s long‑term commercial future. Reporting to the Commercial Development Lead, you will work at the heart of the airport’s capital investment framework, turning high‑value land and asset ideas into robust, decision‑ready concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, scope and validate high‑value land and asset opportunities across the airport precinct.
• Test and validate concepts through feasibility studies, including market demand, planning pathways, development economics, risk and operational impact.
• Challenge assumptions and explore alternative land‑use scenarios to determine the highest and best use.
• Translate ambiguous ideas into clear development concepts and business cases ready for senior stakeholder approval.
• Lead cross‑functional teams and guide sponsors through evidence‑based investment decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial or real‑estate development, preferably within large infrastructure or airport environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to use data‑led insights for opportunity identification.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior leaders.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
