Commercial Analyst

About the role

PrixCar, an automotive logistics company with more than 25 depots across Australia, is hiring a Commercial Analyst for its Commercial Team in Altona North. The role develops, enhances and manages reporting suites for executive and cross-functional stakeholders, analysing data to identify trends, improve operational and financial performance and provide actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and automate dashboards and reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Analyse spend and commercial data, and extract, manipulate and analyse data for ad-hoc queries
• Conduct commercial analysis, price modelling and cost analysis for tenders and existing operations
• Maintain and audit customer and subcontractor rate cards and pricing elements, and build rate calculators
• Support management with ad-hoc queries, data requests and report generation
• Evaluate and implement KPI methodologies, and analyse automotive industry trends
• Handle system administration such as rate uploads, invoice reconciliation and quote registration
• Run training workshops on analytics products and align reporting across teams

Required profile

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar position
• Hands-on commercial experience, not just theoretical
• Experience with data on customer management and business operational performance
• Ability to work independently and interact with all levels of management

Required skills

• Data extraction, data cleansing and data visualisation
• Microsoft Office, with strong Excel, Access and SQL
• Nice to have: exposure to SQL and the transport and logistics industry
