Commercial Advisor

About the role

The Commercial Advisor will provide strategic commercial advice for Air Defence Systems, shaping and delivering commercial strategies to achieve optimal defence outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Creative thinking and strategic advice to the Air Defence Systems Branch.
• Preparation of commercial documentation, including strategy and market approach.
• Support for engagements with international partners and development of artefacts for Foreign Military Sales and Direct Commercial Sales.
• Alignment of commercial activities with schedule, budget, and planning for future phases.
• Advice on technical data, confidential information, intellectual property, and government-furnished items.
• Management of stakeholder relationships and industry engagement.
• Coordination with legal and probity advisers to resolve complex commercial issues.
• Knowledge transfer and training to build internal APS and ADF capability.

Required profile

• Minimum NV1 security clearance (NV2 preferred).
• At least 6 years of relevant experience, preferably within Defence and complex acquisition projects.
• Ability to work onsite at Brindabella Business Park five days a week.
